Within the framework of the QID Foresight Session «Board of Directors of the Future» at the Astana International Financial Centre, Rustam Zhursunov, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Investors of Kazakhstan, expressed support for the initiative to establish a Center for Regulatory Intelligence.
Speaking at the plenary session «Evolution of Board Practices in the Age of Artificial Intelligence», the head of the Association emphasized that improving corporate governance is inextricably linked with the digitalization of the public sector. He described the government’s initiative to use AI for modernizing the regulatory environment as a timely and strategically important step.
In his speech, the speaker highlighted the key role of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms and the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development as the main architects of this process. In turn, the Association intends to support the project by providing specialized expertise and ensuring feedback from the market.
Presenting a preliminary vision of the Center’s architecture, Rustam Zhursunov noted that the new structure is intended to become an analytical hub. The priority tasks at the initial stage include creating a «heat map» of systemic problems, reviewing legislation, and implementing «Government for Business» approaches. The functionality will be scaled based on the needs of the economy.
This approach will ensure a qualitative transformation of the regulatory environment and a transition to a service-oriented model of the state, guaranteeing stability for investors and minimizing administrative barriers.
